Over the last couple of years Bath Artisan Market has become a regular event for us and to be honest it is one of our favourites. We used to live close to Bath and have always loved the city and have very fond memories of exploring the antiques’ centres and flea market in years gone by, in fact if you have watched any of my Facebook Chats over the last couple of weeks, the large trunk in the background came from the old Saturday morning Flea Market that was held at the top of Walcot Street. We love now being part of the vibrant, monthly Artisan Market that is held in Queen Square and enjoy being part of such an active and inspirational selection of creative businesses.
As you can imagine the last thing any of us would want to do at the moment would be to encourage anyone to go out and about and as such the physical events have been cancelled for the time-being. However the organiser and the traders have been looking at ways of keeping the market going and enabling you to shop with traders directly from home in an engaging way that keeps the ‘market-vibe’.
So over the last couple of weeks we have started to recreate the market in a virtual world, last week hosting stalls from home that can be visited via zoom, allowing visitors to chat to the stall holders, see what is available and buy direct from the maker.
This week we have an Easter Egg Hunt taking place over on the Bath Artisan Market Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/bathartisanmarketliveshopping There will be lots of offers and pieces to look at from the different traders, including chats about what we do and lots more too. I am taking part and have new pieces on offer for the first time and will also post a discount code for my Etsy stall that will be valid for the Easter weekend.
Why not join the group and see what you can find
