Living in Devon we are blessed with so many beautiful coastal towns & villages and I do love the fact that it’s so easy for us just to pop down the road for a walk along a beach or a meander around a seaside town whenever we like.
Salcombe is one of our favourite places to visit, with its pretty streets and sheltered waters and so I’m delighted that I’ll be taking my work there this year for its annual Crabfest. Inspired by the brown crab that’s caught locally its a celebration of fishing, food and local crafts and we’ll be joining other exhibitors there on Sunday 5th May.
Of course I’ll have lots of food-related jewellery on the stall (hard not to when I repurpose vintage silver) as well as lots of other new pieces too and will look forward to sampling some of the food on offer and perhaps some of the rather delightful Salcombe Gin too www.salcombegin.com – let’s keep everything crossed for good weather over the weekend
There’s music, food and of course lots of fish, with cooking demonstrations and celebrity chefs too. Organised by Rotary the event also raises funds to support local charities and you can find out more at www.salcombecrabfest.co.uk.
