Each year in August, Vivary Park in the heart of Taunton is filled with colour and scent when it hosts the annual Taunton Flower Show. The Show, which has been called ‘The Chelsea of The West’ brings together people from far and wide to enjoy the floral displays, gardens and attractions, which include a Craft Village.
For the first time this year we will be exhibiting in the Craft Village together with artisans from across the area and we’re really looking forward to spending a couple of days at the event, hoping to find time for each of us to escape the stall for a while to have a look around.
The last time I was in Vivary Park was in 2002 when The Queen visited as part of her Golden Jubilee Tour of the Country. On that occasion our eldest ( who was 4 at the time) handed the Queen a little posy of flowers from our garden wrapped in silver foil … I have a feeling that the displays at the Flower Show will be rather more elaborate ….
