The Handmade Festival

posted in: Events 2

Last year we packed the jewellery and everything we needed for the stall into the car and headed off for our first experience of The Handmade Festival at Hampton Court. When we left 3 days later we were exhausted, but exhilarated after a fantastic weekend and immediately booked to have a stall again this year.

This is a great event for anyone who enjoys crafts or who likes to seek out unusual, handcrafted accessories, clothing, homeware and gifts. With a full programme of events and workshops during the day there is plenty to do and it provides an opportunity for you to try your hand at something different with great teachers to guide you.

This is a fun event for everyone and last year we met some lovely people and enjoyed chatting to the traders around us – happily we got on so well we have asked to be together again this year – so all being well I will be in the same spot as last year…..

I have a lovely tea caddy spoon that was my grandmother’s and I have often wondered if I could make a pendant with it. Where do you do your workshops please?

Dear Judith – thanks for getting in touch, unfortunately I’m not set up to be able to run workshops at the moment. I have though worked on pieces for clients to create pendants or other pieces with their family silver & would be happy to discuss with you what I could do with your caddy spoon. If you would like me to take a look then please email me at with a photo of the spoon and we can take a look from there. Best wishes – Julie
