Is there anything more beautiful than a traditional English Garden with beautiful herbaceous borders and rambling, scented roses dropping their petals onto a perfectly striped lawn? I do have a real soft spot for gardens and so am delighted that I’ll be exhibiting at this years Toby’s Garden Festival at the start of May.
Set in the grounds of Powderham Castle on the edge of the Exe Estuary just outside Exeter this is the 6th year of the Festival and it will be welcoming over 200 exhibitors offering quality plants, crafts, artisan food and drink. There will also be expert speakers from Gardener’s World and lots on offer over the event and for the first time this year, dogs will be welcome into the event.
Many of my pieces have floral designs and I’ll be bringing these with me for the stall, but also some incorporating other more unusual pieces that I have managed to find, including a vintage silver ‘garden roller’ charm and another in the form of an opening watering can with a flower inside. – it will be fun to play with some new finds with a gardening theme.
