This weekend I have the stall all set up in the beautiful orchard at the National Trust house Cotehele, just across the Tamar, in Cornwall.
It’s my second visit to the Orchard and will be back again in September, but for once the sun is shining and the outside activities won’t be affected by the weather, which so far this year, has been a bit of a party pooper!!
There’s lots going here over the weekend – not only the incredibly beautiful house and gardens, but vintage vehicles, stalls and other activities. There is also a lovely walk that takes you along the River Tamar to the pretty village of Calstock.
Of course there are always the stalls and there are some delightful ones here with me in the main Marquee, including wonderful vintage and antique home wares…..
Pieces for the garden……
And lovely pottery imprinted with natural flowers ……
Outside there are more stalls and refreshments from coffee & cake to the very tempting Prosecco Citroen! I must resist …..
I really enjoy doing these events and it’s so nice to be able to chat to people about the individual pieces I make and what they were in a former life, such as this pendant from an old brooch and vintage French Mother of Pearl bead
It’s not often you find a pair of earrings made from the tines of an antique silver toast rack!
It’s incredibly warm, but it is nice and busy, which is lovely, so no doubt I will be hoarse by the end of tomorrow, when we’ll be back for another day – I think the only thing I need to bring is more water!
